ARE YOUR THERAPISTS CERTIFIED?
All of our physiotherapists and massage therapists are board certified and registered with their respective colleges of Ontario.
HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT TO LAST? HOW LONG ARE SUBSEQUENT VISITS?

HOW LONG UNTIL MY FULL RECOVERY?
Recovery time varies for every individual – it generally depends on the severity of your injury, the type of work you do, your medical background, and other physical, social, and emotional factors. Your therapist will provide you with more details regarding your progress.
WHO IS A KINESIOLOGIST?
Kinesiology is the science of human movement, which applies the latest evidenced-based research to improve function, health, and wellness of people in all settings and populations. As university-trained health professionals, kinesiologists work with individuals, groups, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers to apply the principles of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and psychomotor behaviour to improve health, function, and performance. According to the Ontario Kinesiology Association, kinesiologists are committed to enhancing quality of life through the promotion of physical activity and workplace health and safety, the prevention and management of injury and chronic disease, and the overall improvement of health and performance. HOW MANY APPOINTMENTS A WEEK SHOULD I HAVE?
This can be discussed with your therapist during the initial assessment. Typically patients have 2-3 appointments per week, and decrease the frequency of sessions as their condition improves.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
For the initial assessment and subsequent visits, the patient should wear attire they feel comfortable in. Depending on the area of injury, such as the knee, the patient can wear something suitable to expose the treatment area.
DO YOU BILL DIRECTLY TO MY EXTENDED BENEFITS INSURANCE COMPANY?
Not all insurance companies allow for direct billing. If able, we will gladly bill directly. Otherwise, the patient is responsible to pay after each visit. We will provide our patients with an invoice with all the appropriate information to send for reimbursement.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY APPOINTMENT?
Every client will generally obtain a customized rehabilitation program created by a registered physiotherapist. This can include, and is not limited to, manual therapy, modalities, corrective taping, and exercise programs. We also believe that keeping you healthy requires preventative education.
DO I NEED A DOCTOR REFERRAL?
No. However, some insurance companies do require a referral to consider payment for physiotherapy or massage therapy services. Please check with your insurance provider or we can do it for you.
CAN I HAVE MASSAGE AND PHYSIOTHERAPY SESSIONS ON THE SAME DAY?
Yes, depending on the recommendations of your physiotherapist and/or physician.
